R odrigo was born in buenos aires, Argentina in December 27 of 1981 second of 4 siblings (one brother, two sisters) since he was a little boy, his dream was to play soccer. When he was 9 year old, he played for River Plate (famous team in Argentina and worst rival of the team that he is fan of: Boca Juniors). He had to leave the team because of financial issues.
When he was 15 he touched his first bottle. Watching his brother practice in their back yard , from the other side of the window, trying to pick up some moves. At the age of 17, he tried to pursue his dream of becoming a soccer player, after a few fails try outs, he got in where his soccer idol started (Maradona) but it didn't last long, a few days before he started in the team, a friendly game with his high school boys left him out of the field, a broken knee said "enough" to his dream.
The year after he quit his job at a factory to go see a Flair competition live for the first time, right away he felt the same way than he felt about soccer, the very next day he started to practice. After a rough year of competitions one of the pioneers of flair in Argentina told him that if he won't take more classes, he would never leave the country and would never be anybody. With pretty much the doors closed there, he went to the competition where they welcomed him with arms open.
Only a year after, he would fly to Vegas to be part of flip 4 tips 3 (2001) his first international competition, with only 19, using water in the bottles by law, he competed against the biggest names in the flair world finishing in 2nd place...and that was the beginning.
In 2002 he competed in a world championship for the first time, but he didn't want to start like everybody else did in rookie, so he went to pro division and finished in 5th place.
In 2003 he moved to Vegas after getting his first working visa at the "Rio all suite and casino". Months after he won his first world championship in tandem with his brother and in 2004 his first one in single.
Over the years he performed in over 75 cities around the world, over 30 countries, won over 100 competitions including 17 world championships, holding many records, he has been awarded 5 years in a row by the FBA (Flair Bartender Association) for raising the bar and taking it to another level and many other awards, that's why he has been named "the man with the golden hands". He is well known world wide for his difficulty, originality and music interaction.
Today, he is 31 years old, he lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he still competes around the world and keep pushing flair and raising the bar. He is one of the biggest names in the history of flair bartending, but there still time to make more history. Like he says: Flair Fearless!
